We all have "DISABILITIES".
Disability means the inability to do something
Can you swim like a fish,  fly like a bird or run like a horse, I can't.
I'm not a math genius or an opera quality singer, are you?
How about climbing mountains, driving race cars or flying airplanes.
If everyone else had wings, or 4 arms and we didn't, would we be disabled?
By that definition we all have "disabilities".
How disabled we are is a question of degree.
In our society the term disability is applied to a group of people we call handicapped.
This is the group of people who have to do things differently than we do.
They are just like us.
They have challenges to meet in order to achieve what they want to do, just as we do.
The differences are not in kind but in degree.
We may be able to jump 3 feet and they 3 inches. We may be able to see a mile and they only a foot.
Kangaroo's jump better, an eagle or owl has much better vision.
We all have disabilities.
We all have things we need to overcome in order to achieve.
Next time you see a "handicapped" person
consider the possibility that they are not handicapped.
Perhaps it's just their challenges are different than ours.
